Shaft Speed with Forward and Reverse Tables

Description

The equation to provides one look-up table for FORWARD linearization and one look-up table for REVERSE linearization.

Input: 2 x 24V pulses, quadrature
Range: 0-400Hz
Output: 0-10Vdc isolated
Relay : RLY1 closes on forward direction

Details

  1. Input P1 will measure frequency directly in Hz.
  2. Input P2 will measure the phase difference from P1. If the quadrature sensor is predictably aligned then it will output +90deg in the forward direction and -90 deg in the reverse direction. If the forward relay closes when in reverse then swap the two inputs.
  3. When the output from P2 is positive then the relay 1 will close and table 3 is used to linearize the measured frequency on P1
  4. When the output from P2 is negative then the relay 1 will open and table 2 is used to linearize the measured frequency.
  5. The linearize measurement is output on M4 and retransmitted.
