2-Wire RTD Lead Compensation

  • The true temperature for a 2-Wire RTD Temperature Sensor is measured while connected through a protection barier.
  • The known impedance of the leads (or Barrier resistance) is subtracted from the resistance measurement before the conversion to temperature (using a look-up table).
  • This UAP1081 also makes the measurement read a high value if the Sensor goes open-circuit or short-circuit.
  • There are two channels of Resistance Input and the analogue output measures CH1 input unless a contact is closed between terminals 21 & 24 – then the output measures CH2.
