Continious Thickness Measurment
UAP0045 - USC Application
|
The example shown is idea for Continious Thickness Measuring of Dough
Two laser distance sensors are moving synchron and parallel across the
material. One sensor is above and one is below. Both measure the distance
to the material.
The difference of both distances is the thicknes of the material.
Th = Du - Dl

Output from upper sensor: Du = 4 - 20 mA, range: 30 ... 50 mm, accuracy:
0.01 mm
Output from lower sensor: Dl = 4 - 20 mA, range: 30 ... 50 mm, accuracy:
0.01 mm
Output from controller: Th = 4 - 20 mA, range: 0 ... 20 mm, accuracy:
0.02 mm
Equation constant: TabWidth (table width) or distance between sensors.
Example
- TabWidth = 100mm, Du = 45mm, Dl = 40mm
- Distance Th = TabWidth - Du - Dl
Th = 100 - 45 - 40 = 15mm
- Output for 15mm = 16 mA
