The RD512 detects rain falling on a plate whose resistance changes in proportion to the rainfall intensity, and features:

• Flat detection plate on a waterproof enclosure designed for angled mounting.
• Can be fitted with an internal heater to alleviate false signalling caused by dew or condensation and to provide faster drying times.
• Provides indication of Dry/Light Rain/Heavy Rain.

Common applications include:

• Weather stations.
• Rainfall monitor for irrigation & dust control systems.
• Use with APCS resistance measuring modules
