The split core current transformer SCT009 allows fitting and removal without interfering with the load wiring and and may be used with any APCS module with AC current input.

The SCT009 output or secondary is connected using screw terminals accessible under a clip on cover. Primary termination is achieved by means of one or more turns passed through the window in the SCT009. Very high isolation levels are achieved as the primary conductor insulation level is added to the already high isolation level of the SCT009 (5kVrms).

The SCT009 develops 0.093mA per Ampturn in the secondary. The secondary can be safely left short or open circuit. A combined linearity of 0.5% is available when the SCT009 is used with an APCS module
