The USC Properties Screen
- The first column of buttons represents the USC inputs.
- The second column of labels M4 to M9 represents the equation memory outputs, by moving the mouse pointer over them the expected output range will appear as a tool tip.
- The third column of pictorial buttons represents the USC outputs.

As the CH1 button is pressed the list box on the right is displaying CH1 properties. CH2, P1, P2 and RLY2 are all displayed as disabled, as they have not been programmed for use.
The text box at the top is displaying 'Temperature Thermocouple', created from the previous selections made.
Connect the COA703 to the USC701 and press program button on the USC Properties Screen.
It takes between thirty seconds and two minutes to program a USC. USC Config 106 will attempt to open the COM port and program the USC, if successful the main screen status bar will display readings as shown below.
in position '0'.
When using the program for the first time "USC Config 106" will use com port 1, if the port will not open or connection is not achieved either swap the plug to another port and try again or change the com port used by selecting "Tools" - "Com Port Properties" from the menu.
Click the cross on the USC properties window to close it.
