Windows-Associate File Type

In order for ".USC" file types to import into "USC Config" from the windows explorer or your web browser the file extension must be associated.
Please read the procedure for your version of windows.

Associate file type using Windows 95/98

  1. From the "Windows Explorer" select "View", "Folder Options".
  2. In the folder options dialogue box select the "File Types" tab
  1. Click "New" button and fill the "Add New File Type" dialogue as shown.
Description of type: USC Module definition
Associated extension: .usc

 

  1. Click "New" to add new action. In the "New Action" dialogue fill as follows;
Action: Open
Application used to perform action: "C:\Program Files\APCS\USC Config 106\UscConfg.exe"
  1. Press Ok to return to the "Add New File Type" dialogue.
  2. Press Ok to return to the "Folder Options" dialogue
  3. Press Ok to finish.

Associate file type using Windows Me/2000

  1. From the "Windows Explorer" select "Tools", "Folder Options".
  2. In the folder options dialogue box select the "File Types" tab.
  1. Click "New" button and fill the "Create New Extension" dialogue as shown and press OK.
File Extension: .usc

 

  1. With the newly created "USC" file extention selected on the "Folder Options" dialogue click on the "Advanced" button
  1. On the "Edit File Type" dialogue click to "New" button to add a new action.
  1. In the "New Action" dialogue fill as follows;
Action: Open
Application used to perform action: "C:\Program Files\APCS\USC Config 106\UscConfg.exe"
